Built in 1878, Leadville’s Historic Pastime Bar & Cafe is the last existing saloon on former State Street, which once housed 64 saloons. Back then, State Street was part of the notorious Red Light District, claiming such clientele as Doc Holliday, Texas Jack, Jesse James, Tom Horn, and various other Wild West ruffians. H. Maxey Tabor, son of the famous Silver King H.A.W. Tabor and his wife Augusta Tabor, once owned this Leadville classic.
